A Little Explanation…. Last year after Spring League, Stanford changed their policy for field bookings. They could no longer be done by coaches (thank you to Megan Frazer for our past leagues), but had to be booked through the Stanford Athletics Department. I first emailed the new contact in July to try and have some sort of fall tournament, and then followed up right after the Stanford team’s season to reserve dates for Winter and Spring League. Unfortunately, this contact was very busy with other duties and did not respond to my multiple emails. At that point, we shifted gears and planned a Spring League at Cal, but turf remodeling caused the league to be canceled before we could send out signups. We went back to Stanford and sent more emails and calls, and were able to set up this league. We missed playing with everyone in the Winter, but are hoping it will be easier next year now that we’ve established a relationship with the Stanford Athletics Department and the Cal turf will be available!

See you on the turf soon,

The NCFHA Board
