Coaching Positions

Head Girl's Field Hockey Coach
Saint Ignatius College Preparatory is accepting resumes for the position of Head Girl's Field Hockey Coach. The position is part-time and will begin August 12, 2011 and conclude mid-November, 2011.
The Program
Saint Ignatius College Preparatory provides a two-tier program in girl's field hockey. The program has two teams (one varsity and one junior varsity squad). Saint Ignatius plays in the Blossom Valley Athletic League, where all opponents are from San Jose. The team will practice daily at Fairmont Field, a synthetic turf facility in Pacifica, CA. The head coach will work with a staff of five (5) additional coaches, and will be responsible for all levels of the program.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience coaching at the high school or college level. Candidates should have experience working, playing or coaching in a value based educational program.

Assistant Varsity Field Hockey Coach
University, a small, private high school located in the northern part of San Francisco just off the Presidio, seeks an Assistant Varsity Field Hockey coach
for our Fall season. The season begins on August 22ndand runs into early November. The team practices at a field in the Presidio a short walk from school Mon-Fri for 2 hours in the3pm-6pm range. Games are also during the week and there are usually two per week.

We seek a coach who loves field hockey, enjoys working with high school age kids, understands that coaching is about developing players and also about developing people and is committed to making the field hockey experience at University a positive one for every player. We challenge our teams to have a seriousness of purpose and seek to be the best that they can be and also to have a great capacity to have fun---laughing with each other and genuinely enjoying time together.
